Do Inverter Generators have low emission engines?

Is the Excel Power XL8000ii Easy to Start and Use?

You bet it is – Simply push a button and the generator start up (electric start). There is also a remote key fob start function, just click the key fob button to start and stop the generator. The easy recoil start (pull start) is for emergency use which is smooth and silky.  On a well-maintained unit it starts first pull every time – it is engineered to run on the new E10 petrol now available so there are no worries there either.

There are two Uk 3-pin 13A sockets, 1 x 32A 230V socket, 1 X 12V DC port and 1 USB port to connect your electrical equipment up to. Also this unit has as an easy-to-read onboard digital display so you can see information such as, hours run, output voltage and frequency. A great feature is the Power Meter which shows you when you are getting close to full load and the fuel gauge so you can see when to refuel at a glance – no more having to stop your generator and open the filler to peer in!

The hours run meter is is important as you will need to know when your generator will need servicing after the scheduled hours run time has been reached. This will keep your generator maintained and running for thousands of hours use.

What Happens If I Do Not Use My Petrol Generator for Long Periods?

As with all petrol engines, if you are planning to store your generator for a long period its ‘best practice’ to either drain the fuel tank then run the generator until it stops. This will prevent any unused fuel congealing and clogging the carburettor. Or to stop the fuel from going off use a petrol additive. Remember, stale fuel can stop your generator from starting when you need it. The XL8000i can be used with E10 petrol.
